Amazon parrots have a well-deserved reputation for being the “life of the party.” These predominantly green, medium to large sized parrots are typically bold, comical and often love being the center of attention.
Home region / natural habitat
Amazon parrots come from Mexico, South America and parts of the Caribbean. The natural habitats of the wild Amazon include savannahs, palm groves, scrub forests and rainforests.
Care & feeding
Most Amazon parrots love to bathe. Bathing opportunities may include taking a shower with its owner, taking a spray bath, or jumping into its water bowl and splashing water everywhere. Bathing is an important part of an Amazon's feather health. Because of their love of food and their habit of begging for food from their owners, Amazon parrots tend to be the tipping point for obesity. An Amazon Parrot needs a spacious cage with spread out toys and swings, as well as an arcade/play tree, climbing rope and/or scalable ladders to encourage exercise and exercise.

Personality and behavior

Speech and tone
Amazon parrots are among the better talkers in the parrot world. They seem to particularly like music and singing.
